"Spoiler Alert" is based on the memoirs of Television entertainment journalist Michael Aussiello, who started working for "TV Guide" at the turn of the milennium; Aussiello made the move from print to new media when he founded the website tvline.com back in 2010. I've been a reader of that website since day #1, so I've read his name quite often (I even can remember some of his "Grey's Anatomy" recaps that were mentioned in the film, even though I never actually read them because I gave up on that show after episode nine way back in 2005). The film however focuses not on his professional career but rather on his relationship with photographer Kit Cowan, as can be seen in the trailer:

And how did you like this real-life drama which was directed by true-story specialist Michael Showalter ("The Eyes of Tammy Faye", "The Big Sick") after a script by TV veteran David Marshall Grant ("Nashville", "A Million Little Things") and columnist Dan Savage? How did you enjoy the lead performances by Jim Parsons as Michael Aussiello and Ben Aldrige as Kit Cowan, plus the supporting turns, for example by Sally Field as Kit's mother? Please let us know in a reply to this posting.
