"Living" is a remake of the 1952 film "Ikiru" (which means "to live") by none other than legendary film maker Akira Kurosawa ("Seven Samurai"); screenwriter Kazuo Ishiguro transplanted the setting from Japan to post-war London, but left the main story intact. South African filmmaker Oliver Hermanus ("Moffie") directed this tale of a man at the end of his life, grasping for meaning to his existence, who must finally learn how to actually live.
Here's the trailer:

The main character of office worker Mr. Williams is played by Bill Nighy, who is more well-known for his oddball performances; how did you like his take on Williams? Also, what did you think of the rather old-fashined pacing, plus of the supporting performances, most notably by Aimee Lou Wood (who you might know from the Netflix series "Sex Education") as Miss Harris, and by Alex Sharp as office newbie Mr. Wakeling? Please let us know in a reply to this posting.
