#1595 Sacrifice on imdb:

At an elite fundraising gala, celebrities and socialites find themselves in danger when armed activists storm the venue in pursuit of a legendary relic that could unlock supernatural powers.

A film that had good and bad in it, good was the acting mostly, especially Chris Evans and bad were some tedious dragging passages that felt like walking though a swamp with no end in sight - so to keep it short, I break my regular rating and give one lower this time, which translates into a 3.

Hallo allerseits,
ich bin nicht so überzeugt von „Sacrifice“ – mir ist vor allem nicht klar, was der Film überhaupt aussagen will; für mich wirkte das wie ein nihilistischer Rundumschlag gegen Celebrity Culture, gespielte Wohltätigkeit und Ökoaktivismus gleichtzeitig, wobei alle Beteiligten im schlechtestmöglichen Licht dargestellt werden. Das macht es schwer, Charaktere zu finden, mit denen man sich auch nur ansatzweise identifizieren kann, was vermutlich gewollt was, aber es schwerer machtw sich auf den Film so richtig einzulassen. Für mich war das von allem eine – bizarre – Komödie, die sich etwas hinzog – von daher vergebe ich eine „3 –“.
