"End of Sentence" is the first long-form directorial effort of Islandic writer/director/producer Elfar Adalsteins. He first got introduced to screenwriter Michael Armbruster (who co-wrote 2010s "Beautiful Boy") by a mutual friend, and the two hit it off, expanding the scope of the story which originally took place only in the USA to encompass the journey to and through Ireland which ended up using the bulk of the runtime. The film was shot in spring of 2017 and completed well before the start of the pandemic. It was screened at film festivals in Europe and Japan in the fall of 2019 and scheduled to be released around the world in the first half of 2020 - well, we all know how that turned out. When the film will finally be released in Germany in mid-November, more than half a decade will have passed since shooting. Anyway, here is the trailer:

And how did you like the film, which focused mainly on the performances of Indie darling John Hawkes (#1198 "Three Billboards", #0843 "Winter's Bone") as father Frank, and Logan Lerman (#0930 "The Perks of Being a Wallflower", #0974 "Stuck in Love") as ex-con son Sean, plus to a lesser extent Sarah Bolger (#0576 "Tara Road", "Emelie") as the enigmatic Jewel? How did you like the shots of rural Ireland, and the story which mainly takes place on the road? Please let us know what you thought of "End of Sentence" in a reply to this post.

2- bevor Radar knurrt!
