"My Cousin Rachel" is Roger Mitchell's third sneak movie after #0242 "Notting Hill" and #0416 "Changing Lanes"; it's also the third genre he's presenting to our audience. "My Cousin Rachel" was originally a novel by Daphne du Maurier, one of Britain's great writers of the 20th Century, who also penned the dramas "Rebecca" and "The Birds", both of which were turned into movies by Alfred Hitchcock. Mitchell wasn't the first director to tackle this novel; 65 years ago, a young Richard Burton, and Olvia de Havilland played the leads in an adaptation that got nominated for several Oscars and Golden Globes.

Here's the trailer for 2017's version of "My Cousin Rachel":

How did you like this costume drama? What did you think about the performances by Rachel Weisz and Sam Claflin (plus support)? Don't scribble your thoughts about the film onto the edges of an envelope, just post them as a reply to this article.
